Gallery Opening Times

Thursday – Saturday 12-5pm during exhibitions and by appointment.

Exhibition openings usually Friday 6-9pm, everyone welcome

Accessibility

Two Queens gallery space has step-free access.

A Gender Neutral toilet is available for visitors to use, the toilet is accessed via a low step.

Nearest Accessible toilets and changing spaces are located at Curve and Phoenix, less than 5 minutes away.

Where possible we try to make exhibitions accessible by default. When captioning isn’t possible a written transcript is provided for works with audio dialogue. Our reception desk has a Hearing Aid loop installed, our gallery space doesn’t currently have a hearing aid loop.

Large print versions of our exhibition handout texts are available. We are happy to provide a tour of exhibitions to Blind and Partially-Sighted visitors.

Our foyer has tables and benches where visitors are welcome to sit and rest. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments and we can provide drinking water.

Friendly dogs are welcome in our foyer and gallery space.

Getting here

Train: Queen street is five minutes walk from Leicester city centre and Leicester train station, which is 30 minutes journey from Nottingham, 50 minutes from Birmingham New Street and just over 1hr away from London St Pancras.

Car: Pay and display on street car-parking is available on both Queen Street and Southampton Street, and is free after 6pm. Nearest pay and display car parks are next to Phoenix on Midland Street and the NCP on Rutland Street.

Bus: Nearest bus stops are on Charles Street and Humberstone Gate, a 5 minute walk away.

Bike: Nearest national cycle path is bike route 6 which emerges on Braunstone Gate, roughly one mile from Queen Street.

We are within 5 minutes walk of Leicester Print Workshop, Phoenix, and LCB Depot, who also host visual art exhibitions.
