FAQ

Q. Why are you called Two Queens?

A. The boring but true answer is that our building is number 2 Queen Street.

Q. Can I have an exhibition at Two Queens?

A. We will read any exhibition proposals we receive, but cannot guarantee a response. Ordinarily our curated programme does not arise through unsolicited proposals but through an extended period of research and building relationships with artists. We are always keen to meet new artists, please don’t hesitate to get in touch or say hello in real life.

Two Queens associate members can submit work to open calls and members shows. More information can be found on the Membership page of our site.

Q. Do you hire out your gallery space?

A. We occassionally hire out our gallery space for events and exhibitions, please see our Hire Policy and Hire Proposal Form for more details. All hire enquiries should be directed to: info@2queens.com

Q. Can I do work experience/volunteer/intern with Two Queens?

A. Unfortunately we don’t have the staff capacity at the moment to properly support volunteers and make sure they have a rewarding experience doing so. Any employment opportunities will be listed via the ‘Opportunities’ page of our website and on our social media channels.

Two Queens is a democratically-controlled Community Benefit Society, therefore you can also get involved by becoming a society member, with the opportunity to stand for board membership and help shape our governance and strategic direction. See https://2queens.com/community-benefit-society/ for more information

Q. I am a writer/critic/reviewer, will you cover my travel costs to review your show?

A. We will cover up to £50 travel costs for writers, please contact us at info@2queens.com before arranging your trip.
