Opening Night: Friday 24th April, 6-9pm
Two Queens is pleased to announce a solo exhibition project by Leomi Sadler; ‘IF YOU THINK OF ME THE WAY I THINK OF YOU SHAME ON YOU.’
Wind turbines are the most elegant machines ever made. They are Angels that remind us how to access our own latent power. Separated, gliding above the power structures of the world… In 2026, The Anthropomorphic Wind-Turbine Girl is the mascot of this art exhibition, very gracefully.
Using approaches from across Leomi’s wide-ranging and prolific practice, which has spanned the worlds of Comics, Fashion and Art, this exhibition will bring together new drawings and ambitious sculptural works that follow a long-running interest in miniatures and models. She uses the collage technique of ‘kitbashing’ (a common practice in special-effects and hobby modelling), to adapt and mix components, wishing and praying for irrational images, symbols and creatures to appear. Pussy magic to start the week, with Angel Milk every Thursday morning.
Consideration of the Doll; an object that embodies multiple and complex associations; miniaturisation and adorability, the development of identity via object proxy, the Trans Femme experience, the toy, the sex object. “I want to make work about cute&playfulness, unhinged desire and violence, and I’m terrified of being perceived.”
In these works, Leomi is interested in understanding the moments when life starts to enter an object, intimacy, and objects that are pretending to be human. Emotions are so complex a
nd difficult aren’t they? Imagine what it’s like trying to process and express them under the scrutiny of nationalised transphobia and things called Biological Women. “If I get it wrong I’ll cease to exist”.
Polite notice: Genital inspection will NOT be required to enter this public space.
This project is made possible by public funding from The National Lottery through Arts Council England.
