Join Two Queens for a free artist development workshop with artist Nicholas Delap.
Nicholas will be facilitating a two stage workshop focussed on Augmented reality, an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content. The workshop will be in response to Joey Holders ‘Cryptid’ exhibition at Two Queens, where participants are invited to learn how to craft 3D creatures in Z Brush, and display them in Spark AR as an Augmented Reality instagram filter.’
Please note, participants will need to bring their own MacOS or Windows laptop, as well as a smartphone, Instagram account an email address. All software used in the workshop is free to download. For any technical queries please email info@2queens.com
About Nicholas Delap:
‘Nicholas Delap is a Digital artist who explores wilderness, Post Humanism and re-wilding as themes within his artworks, creating immersive and other worldly virtual environments, sculptures and Augmented reality installations. His work seeks to undermine the traditional boundaries between the Human, The Natural and the Technological.
Nicholas currently runs a design studio (Studio Misti), has recently exhibited with Rupert Lithuania, Das Bologna, Mock Jungle and Bercuferia Silicon Vallet and has completed commissions for Crocs, Ashnikko, Spotify and Aitch. In 2022 he developed a VR exhibition which achieved an Honorary mention at the ARS Electronica festival.
